Testimonial – Nashua In-Patient

Norman G. Aboshar, Stroke Patient November, 2007

Rehab Patient

When it came time for me to begin my therapy the case manager at Lahey suggested NHRN to me. I was aware of the Salem facility but unaware of the Nashua site. The Lahey case manager told me they had previous patients come to NHRN and experienced great results.

So, with that, I was transferred to Northeast Rehab, Nashua. It was a wonderful place. I felt like I was with family. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and I had everything I needed.

The therapists were all wonderful--patient and caring. Tracey, Heather, Alma, and Scott showed concern beyond the current therapy sessions. I had lots of one-on-one time with each of them. The nurses were supportive, my cheerleaders, and very professional, they always answered my questions.

Dr. Mazur was the final piece of the puzzle to complete my experience. He was very attentive, gave me suggestions, and I was aware that he was monitoring me the whole time.

My stay here at Northeast Rehab has felt like being part of a family! Another experience I had was animal facilitated therapy. I am a dog owner and I was able to participate with this type of therapy. The dogs were amazing, very docile, and I felt very comfortable around them.

When I was released I knew I was ready to go home safely.

My family has been very involved in my care and has seen NRH first hand. I have already told my family before going home that I definitely recommend Northeast Rehab.
