Appointment Scheduling

If you or a family member is ill, please call as early in the day as possible so that we can assess your needs. We will accommodate you with a same day appointment if available.

When waiting for a call back from the office or from an on-call provider, please remove all call blocking features from your phone.

Checking- In for Appointments

Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete necessary paperwork. If your insurance requires a co-pay, it will be collected at that time.

Cancellation and Late Policy

We ask for a 24-hour notice in order to accommodate other pateints. You may be asked to reschedule your appointment if you arrive more than 10 minutes after your scheduled appointment time.

Referrals

Most health plans require your primary care physician (PCP) to refer you to specialists or facilities for certain services within your network. To avoid having your insurance company deny benefits, call our office before obtaining medical care elsewhere unless you believe you have a life threatenting emergency. When you need a referral, allow 7-10 business days for us to process the necessary paperwork. As always, you should check with your insurance company to determine what your benefits are. Referrals do not guarantee payment.

After Hours Care and Emergency Room Visits

When our office is closed, a designated provider is on-call to answer your questions and guide you to appropriate care. If your problem is not life threatening, always call our office at

(603) 888-5573 before seeking care elsewhere. While insurance companies no longer require a referral for emergency services or after hours care, a call to our office first may save you a trip to the Emergency Department and a higher co-pay. Your physician may also suggest that you be evaluated at our Convenient Care West facility located at our West Campus.

In the event of a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.

If you are admitted to the hospital, a hospitalist (a doctor who cares for hospitalized patients) may care for you during your stay. The hospitalist acts as your PCP while you are in the hospital and updates your regular PCP frequently.
