Please call our office to make an appointment. If you are an existing patient and feel ill and your symptoms are not associated with your kidneys, you may be referred to your primary care provider (PCP). If it is determined that you need to see one of our nephrologists, please understand that the urgency of your appointment is our first consideration. If you are a new patient requesting a consultation, please ask your primary care provider’s (PCP) office to send us your medical records before your appointment, so that our providers are better able to assess your needs.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time to complete the check-in process. We will ask to see your insurance card to verify coverage information. If your health care plan requires a co-payment, it will be collected at that time. If your insurance plan requires a referral from your PCP, please obtain the referral prior to your appointment. You may be asked to reschedule your appointment if you arrive more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, we ask for a 24-hour cancellation notice in order to accommodate other patients. This is especially important for new consultation appointments as we allocate one hour for your appointment with one of our nephrologists.
When our office is closed during evenings, weekends, or holidays, one of our nephrologists is on-call to answer your questions and guide you to appropriate care. If your symptoms are not associated with your kidneys, you may be referred to your primary care provider.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately or go directly to the nearest Emergency Department (ED) by ambulance. If your problem is not life- threatening, always call our office at 603-882-2921 before seeking care, as your insurance plan may require that a physician authorize your emergency care.
We understand that the cost of medical care can be unexpected. We will work with you to make payments as reasonable as possible. We will answer all your questions, and make sure that you understand everything about your bill. Learn more aboutour Prompt Pay Discounts.
