Flexible Cystoscopy – Exam to look into the urinary bladder. Also able to fulgurate small lesions and remove tiny bladder tumors. Larger tumors are removed at the hospital as an outpatient surgery.
Flowimetry – A simple test performed by voiding into a special commode attached to a monitor to measure volume and speed of urine being passed.
Bladder Instillations – Treatment given through a catheter into the bladder for treatment of bladder cancer or interstitial cystitis.
Bladder Volume Scan – A simple scan done with a hand-held scanner to measure amount of urine left in the bladder after voiding.
Prostate Ultrasound and Prostate Biopsy – Ultrasound is used to visualize the prostate and guide the prostate needle to take random biopsies to locate prostate cancer.
Urodynamic Studies – A series of tests that allow a detailed look at the function of the bladder and urethra.
Intracavernosal Injections – An option for treating erectile dysfunction.
Scrotal Ultrasound – An ultrasound capable of viewing cysts/masses in the scrotum. A more detailed study is done through the hospital radiology department.
Urethral Dilatations – Treatment for urethral strictures.
Vasectomy – for elective sterilization.
