2009 Summer Food Drive

Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation. We need your help! Donate non-perishable food and personal hygiene products from June 27 - July 25 to help replenish supplies at local food banks.


Join us at the kick off event!

Volunteers will be at the Market Basket on 261 Daniel Webster Highway to accept your donations on June 27, 9am - 2 pm. The Honorable Mayor Donalee Lozeau will greet shoppers while representatives from Off the Wall Promotions will pass out free give-a-ways from 11am - noon.


Items Needed:

  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Pasta
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Spaghetti-O’s or other Chef Boyardee products
  • Breakfast cereal
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Dinty Moore stew
  • Tuna fish
  • Diapers
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Toilet paper

Tax deductible donations are gratefully accepted.


Drop-off sites include St. Joseph’s Hospital and its affiliates, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and its affiliates, Dartmouth Hitchcock Nashua and its affiliates, and the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce.


All items collected will benefit the following food pantries:

  • The Upper Room
  • Main Street Methodist Church
  • Tolles Street Mission
  • The Nashua Pastoral Care Center
  • St. John Neumann Church in Merrimack
  • Christian Bible Church
  • Corpus Christi
  • Nashua Salvation Army
  • St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson
  • Ann Marie House in Hudson
  • The SHARE program at St. Patrick’s Church in Milford
  • Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter
