Support Groups

  • Breast Cancer Support Group

    2nd Tuesday of Each Month, 6:30-8:30 PM
    A support group specially designed to offer emotional support and encouragement for women living with breast cancer. To register, call (603) 577-2658. Meet facilitator Sue Holmes, RN

  • Cancer Support Group

    2nd and 4th Tuesday of Each Month, 6:00-8:00 PM.
    Offers emotional support and encouragement to patients diagnosed with any type of cancer and their family. To register call Barbara Kimball or Nora Buttrick at the Nashua Regional Cancer Center, 880-1590.

 

  • Look Good, Feel Better

    3rd Monday of Each Month, 5:00 - 7:00 PM. American Cancer Society's program provides support and carmaraderie for female cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Call 886-7900 for more information.

 

  • Common Ground (Dual diagnosis)

    1st & 3rd Wednesday, 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Call (603) 577-5720. Meets in the Behavioral Health Unit at the West Campus.

 


  • Diabetes Insulin Pump User Support Group

    For adults interested in or using insulin pumps.
    Monthly speakers will answer questions and discuss glucose monitoring, dietary issues, medication options for pump users, traveling with a pump and how and why to use Combo boluses.

  • Diabetes Support Group

    3rd Tuesday of Each Month, 7:00-8:30 PM
    For adults with diabetes. No registration necessary.

  • Mother's Support Group, Tuesdays

    9:00-10:15 AM, Ages 7-12 Months and 10:30 AM-12 noon, Newborn to 6 Months
    A registered nurse facilitates weekly sessions that include health teaching and occasional guest speakers. Discussions will include postpartum recovery, parenting, relationships, breastfeeding/weaning, back to work/staying at home, and child development.

  • Pre- and Post-Transplant Support Group

    1st Wednesday of Each Month, 7:00-9:00 PM No registration necessary.

  • New! Prostate Cancer Information and Support Group

    2nd Wednesday of each Month, 5:30 pm. Call HEALTHMATCH for location (603-577-2255).
    If you or someone you know is concerned about prostate cancer, a free monthly group meeting offers information, encouragement, and support. The American Cancer Society’s Man-to-Man Support Group is offered in collaboration with The Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital, and the Nashua Regional Cancer Center.

    Special guest speakers and participants share the latest information and education about prostate cancer, and offer encouragement to those living with the disease and their loved ones.
