Public Telephones & Cellular Phones >>
Public telephones are located near the elevators on the
ground floor and first floor of The Medical Center, and in the lobby and Behavioral Health unit at the West Campus.
We understand that cellular phones and walkie-talkies are
important ways to stay in touch with family and friends. However,
for the safety and comfort of our patients:
- Cellular phone
and walkie-talkie use is not permitted in some patient care
areas.
- Cellular phones or walkie-talkies may not be used or
carried with the power turned on near electronic medical
devices being used in patient care.
- Turn power off within
three feet of electronic medical equipment.
- The use of
cellular phones and walkie-talkies by patients and visitors
is not permitted at the bedside in the Intensive Care Unit
(ICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Emergency
Department (ED), or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- We encourage a quiet environment to make our patients
comfortable. Please be considerate of our patients by
speaking quietly when talking on the phone, in hallways, or
outside patient rooms. There are lounge areas for visitors
on each patient floor and in the main lobby.
